What is Women's Society?
Women's Society is a community of female entrepreneurs and women in business. We are here to support and champion amazing local business women and connect you all together. We hold monthly workshops and events, designed to tackle the problems you might face in your career.
You can sit with us! We pride ourselves on being friendly and approachable, aiming to inspire and motivate women to follow their dreams.
We are based in Rossendale and currently host evens in Rawtenstall & Whalley. But we are hoping to be hosting events at other small towns in the North West in 2020.
If you can't make it to the events but still want to get involved, you can follow us on Instagram, join our Facebook Group or sign up to our newsletter.
Who Am I?
I'm Gabriella Marsden, but you can call me Gaby, a blogger and serial entrepreneur. I founded Women's Society because empowering the women around me is my passion. In July 2015, six Months after my son was born, I started a handmade children's wear business, Frankie's Threads. Back then there wasn't a lot of help for start ups in the area, so in an attempt to learn how to run a small business, I decided to study a Business Degree at Blackburn College. After almost four years of running Frankie's Threads, studying and graduating with a BA (Hons), I realised my real passion wasn't children's clothing and that what I really enjoy is helping other women find, follow and thrive in their dream careers.
